Why Racing?

You may be wondering why this blog is titled Racing Toward Healthy. Keep reading to find out!

Our lives have changed a lot in the last year.

My husband was given the wonderful opportunity to work as a trackside engineer for IndyCar! That moved us to a different state and our lives have now been filled with work trips, IndyCar races, and lots of racing podcasts to learn about this sport that is new to me. So racing is a part of our lives, a big part. Which is why I decided to use racing as a picture of our health journey.

No matter how many health “destinations” you’ve pursued I hope you are beginning to see that health is not a destination. Our race toward healthy is more like a 24 Hours of Le Mans than a drag race. (See what I did there?) No matter what your relationship with exercise has been or currently is, my goal is to help you start moving, keep moving, and love moving.

Start moving if you haven’t yet made exercise a consistent part of your life.

Keep moving if you’re currently struggling with pain during exercise.

And love moving by showing you that exercise doesn’t have to be a chore.

Whether you need to start moving, keep moving, or learn to love moving, my goal is to give you encouragement and practical tips for your race toward healthy.
